Maxwell Lectures Spring 2009 Print E-mail

Happy new year! Here are the lectures scheduled for the second semester this year. The lectures are every Monday, from 2pm to 3pm and are held in room K2.31.

There has been a slight change in this timetable due to bad weather on the 2nd of February. Professor Mavromatos will now give his lecture in the Autumn Term 2009.

27 February – 1 March: Cumberland Lodge Weekend – Alternative Medicine
Confirmed speakers are:

Simon Singh: Trick or Treatment? Alternative Medicine on Trial
Peter Hylands (King’s College London): Traditional Chinese Medicine
Peter Naish (Open University): Hypnosis - Trickery or Therapy? (including a demonstration)
There will also be presentations on Acupuncture, Spiritual Healing and Colour/Light
Medicine (TBC).
